GHS LIBRARY CATALOG

This is a link to the Library Catalog. Here are the basic steps for searching the catalog:

http://destiny1.gilbertschools.net/cataloging/servlet/presentadvancedsearchredirectorform.do?l2m=Library%20Search&tm=TopLevelCatalog&l2m=Library+Search

  1. Enter all or part of the TITLE or AUTHOR name in the basic search bar and hit ENTER.
  2. Since it searches by KEYWORD, it will return anything labeled with those words.
  3. If you want to be more specific, after entering the words of the title click on TITLE. Or, obviously, after entering an author's name, click on AUTHOR.
  4. If you just know that you want a book about a certain SUBJECT, you can also click on that for more specific results.
  5. Finally, if you are looking for books in a SERIES, you can search that, too.

This link will take you directly to a discussion of when it is best to use books and when it is best to use electronic sources. They talk a great deal about other print sources, like newspapers and magazines, but you can access those online these days, too.
